IMPORTANT FACTORS IN THE NUTRITION OF YOUR PUPPY:
- Control growth rate & body weight: stay at or slightly under the typical growth curve for the breed. Weigh your dog regularly and feed according to body weight. We recommend a Portion Controlled feeding method, split in 2 to 3 meals a day.
- Calcium & Phosphor level and balance: large breed puppies need LESS (compared to small or medium breeds) of these minerals for normal development of their bones. This product provides the right amount and the right balance if fed normally. Do not add minerals or vitamins and do not feed table scraps in addition.
- Joint cartilage protection: The nutraceuticals Glucosamin & Chondroitin Sulphate are known to provide building blocks and prohibit damage of the cartilages. This is crucial for large breed dogs in the growth stage in order to avoid joint damage and lameness later on.
